KIRK CAMERON | The Duty of Men, Manliness, and Masculinity

HOME > PODCAST ARCHIVE

We are all well-aware, at this point, that there is a very clear and deliberate assault against the concepts of manliness and masculinity. In fact, men are falling behind on some of the most crucial metrics you can image for a healthy society: depression rates, suicide, higher education, income potential, incarceration, substance abuse, committed relationships, workforce participation, and the list goes on and on.

My guest today, after an incredibly successful start in Hollywood as Mike Seaver on Growing Pains, Kirk Cameron, has made it his life’s mission to reclaim masculinity, not only in his home but to become a champion of manliness for all men who are working to unpack what it means to be a man. Today, we talk about the biggest threats to masculinity, how we can lead well within the walls of our home, how righteousness and truth are the foundation of manliness, how to reclaim our power, work with our women, and lead the next generation who will eventually lead us.

KIRK CAMERON

Kirk Cameron is an American actor, evangelist, and author best known for his role as Mike Seaver on the hit 1980s sitcom Growing Pains. Rising to fame as a teen heartthrob, Cameron transitioned from mainstream Hollywood success to a life centered on Christian faith and ministry. His acting career includes roles in faith-based films such as Fireproof and Left Behind, where he became a prominent figure in the Christian film industry. Beyond the screen, he has used his platform to advocate for traditional family values, biblical principles, and a return to manliness across the United States and the globe.
In addition to his work in entertainment, Cameron is a dedicated speaker. He has also written several books on faith, family, and personal growth, including his latest book, Born to be Brave, and his latest children’s project/TV series, Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk.

DIVORCE NOT DEATH

As many of you know, I went through a divorce several years ago. And, although, it’s not something I enjoy talking about – especially considering my position here and my belief in the nuclear family – I’ve found that talking about it has opened the door to thousands of men who are willing to open up and share the pains and challenges of navigating the breakdown of a committed relationship.

That’s why I’ve decided to put together a program that will release next quarter called, Divorce, Not Death. Divorce and separation are hell. I don’t want you to experience that for yourself. And, if I can use my own experience, painful as it may be, to keep you out of it or, worst case scenario, navigate it if you do, that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

We’re in the early stages right now but this will likely be the most impactful thing I’ve ever released to men. Join us early at www.divorcenotdeath.com and be on the lookout in the next 30-60 days. We can help you navigate the most painful season of your life!
