As men, we’re hardwired to look for problems we see with the environment around us. Unfortunately, too few of us are willing to take the next step and do something about the issues we identify.

My guest today is not that kind of man. His name is Ian Wendt and he’s taking a stand against some of the most polarizing social issues of the day. Today, Ian and I talk about overcoming the opinions of others, when to compromise and when not to, how excellence is the ultimate rebellion, how a man ought to show up in his community, and, ultimately, becoming a man of conviction.

My guest today is a good friend and someone I admire because he’s willing to put his money where his mouth is – an increasing rarity today. His name is Ian Wendt and he’s got a successful history in communication sales but has since launched his own brand and apparel company, Official Patriot Gear. Their message is simple: patriotism is not partisan.

He's taking that message to the masses and drawing light and attention to some of the most controversial and polarizing subjects of today’s culture and society. Enjoy.

As you might guess, I am not a fan of the term, “safe space,” but I am a fan of creating an environment where men are free to share some of their most closely held thoughts, beliefs, and weaknesses. Because, when men are free to share with other men what they really struggle with, they finally give themselves the power to address what has been plaguing and keeping them back for far too long.

This is exactly what the Iron Council is all about and, when you band with us, you’re going to tap into a powerful band of brothers that will give you the grounds to share who you really are, what you truly struggle with, and the power to finally do something about it.
