The mid-life crisis. It’s something we’ve all heard about. Many men have likely experienced it. Typically, the midlife crisis is associated with driving around a sports car from your childhood and trying to land women 10-15 years your younger. But the midlife crisis is a bit more nuanced than that and doesn’t require looking or acting like a d-bag to navigate it. In fact, if handled correctly, men’s middle years can be some of the most powerful and transformative years of his life.
Today, I’m joined by Greg Scheinman to talk about how to make that happen. We talk about overcoming trauma and victimization, what he calls “over-indexing” in certain aspects of your life, six “f’s” of life to focus on, the power of purpose, process, and payoff, and how to successfully navigate the midlife crisis.

My guest today is Greg Scheinman. Greg and I met a couple of years ago at one of our events and we’ve been connected since. I’ve always been inspired by the way this man presents himself and his approach to what seems to cripple so many men.
He is the author of The Midlife Male: A No-BS Guide to Living Better, Longer, Happier, Healthier, and Wealthier and a coach to men all over the world in how to help them maximize their middle ages. Enjoy this one, gentlemen.

I’ve questioned whether or not I’m in my own midlife crisis over the past several months as I’ve been dealing with some very personal issues I’ve shared with you guys, including becoming sober and navigating a divorce I never thought would happen.
There are a lot of reasons why I know I’ll come out of this a better man. A major source of help and accountability on my path is our exclusive brotherhood, The Iron Council. I rely on these guys to help hold my feet to the fire and offer the guidance and direction to make the most of my life. And, I do the same for them.
If you need a band of brothers that do the same (and, we all do) we open the Council up again in about a month. And, to be the first to be notified, head to www.orderofman.com/ironcouncil and join us. See you inside.
