Men’s mental health is an issue that is getting a lot more attention than even when I started this podcast just 9 years ago. In fact, men are falling behind in so many metrics from graduation and college attendance rates, to declining health, incarceration, and even suicide rates. But what is causing this rising trend in the demise of men’s mental, physical, and emotion health?
My guest, John Delony, is here to explain some of the biggest culprits in the modern issues that plague so many men. Today, we talk about the paradox of empathy and toughness as we relate to each other and children, the importance of making “line-in-the-stand” commitments, the difference between complacency and satisfaction, why men need to work on projects together, and why “all in,” is the only way to live.
John Delony has made a name for himself working as a mental health expert with the Dave Ramsey Team and now boasts a following of millions across his various social media platforms.
That isn’t an honor, however, that he is interested in. He’s more interested in serving people through his podcast, presentations, lessons, and books. With two PhD’s, including a degree from Harvard, John is taking his professional knowledge and practical wisdom to serve people all over the world in overcoming their own personal trauma and struggles.
In his last book, Building a Non-Anxious Life, John takes these lessons and experience and teaches us how we can utilize mental health to build a life of prosperity and abundance.
Men, have you registered for the Forge yet? If you don’t know what that is, it’s an event and experience unlike any other that me and some of the foremost men in the self-development space have put together on May 1st – 4th, 2025.
Connor Beaton with ManTalks, Larry Hagner with the Dad Edge, Matt Beaudreau with ApogeeStrong and myself have partnered up to create an event outside of St. Louis you will not want to miss.
And, with each of us participating, and involved in every conversation and activity at this experience, you’re basically getting 4 events in one. You’ll also be connected with 200+ other men who are working together to improve their lives. If you only go to one event this year, make it The Forge: A Gathering of Men.
