Every one of us has experienced trauma of some sort in our lives. Some more challenging scenarios than others. But it does no good to compare our own circumstances with others, only what those who seem to be able to manage and work past the difficulties of life can teach us.
Combat Rescue Helicopter Pilot, Lt. Colonel Brian Slade joins me on today to talk about strategies he’s learned and developed for overcoming some of the worst scenarios he and others have overcome in their lives. We discuss the concept of “chair flying” as a method for anticipating and preparing for traumatic events, the difference between those who adapt to challenge and those who don’t, why we as men need to wrap our heads around “operating in the ugly,” overcoming festering emotional wounds, and how to triumph over trauma.

My guest today is Lieutenant Colonel Brian Slade, a Combat Rescue Helicopter Evaluator Pilot in the United States Air Force with 25 years of military service. He is also a real estate professional and recently minted author. His debut book Cleared Hot is a compelling, non-fiction account of what it takes to face your fears and overcome potential PTSD. When it comes to war and life, there are a lot of things that can happen. And while you can't always control what happens to you, you can control how you react to it. In his book, he recounts his experiences in the military and how he overcame the challenges he faced both during and after his service. His story is inspirational and educational, and it's sure to help anyone dealing with PTSD or any other kind of trauma.

Men, every one of us needs a plan. Unfortunately, too many men are throwing all sorts of tactics and strategies at the wall to see what sticks and hope they can experience some measure of success.
That might actually work but it’s dumb luck if it does and does not produce any replicable results. That’s what we’re after – predictable strategies that you can implement on demand to achieve your desires.
And, that’s where the Iron Council, our exclusive men’s brotherhood, comes into play. When you band with us, you are gaining access to 1,200 other men and tapping into a system implemented by thousands to better their lives. And, these are all men who are going to help you with your plan and hold you to completing it.
We’re only open for another 3-4 days so now is your chance to join us. Head to www.orderofman.com/ironcouncil right now to register.
