Psychological safety. It’s not something that we think a whole lot about even though we talk a lot about a man’s innate desire to protect those he’s closest to. But when it comes to the mental and emotional security of our loved ones, we often fall short.

My guest today is my good friend Larry Hagner who is the founder of the Dad Edge and Dad Edge Podcast. Today, Larry and I talk about powerful communication strategies with our wife and kids, how crucial climate is when it comes to communicating effectively, how curiosity serves as a powerful lubricant for improving our conversations, and how to effectively create psychological safety for our loved ones to open up to us.

He’s made it his life’s mission to serve men as it relates to their marriage and fathering their children. He’s also the author of his book, The Dad’s Edge, and his upcoming book, The Pursuit of Legendary Fatherhood.
